How The Wizard of Oz Should Have Ended

I love this lol. This video proves once again that a lot of people favorite movies could have ended a lot quicker if someone just killed the S.O.B. bad guy early before they became a nuisance.

Quincy Jones On Michael Jackson

Q: Did you believe him about the disease?
A: I don't believe in any of that bullshit, no. No. Never. I've been around junkies and stuff all my life. I've heard every excuse. It's like smokers—"I only smoke when I drink" and all that stuff. But it's bullshit. You're justifying something that's destructive to your existence. It's crazy. I mean, I came up with Ray Charles, man. You know, nobody gonna pull no wool over my eyes. He did heroin 20 years! Come on. And black coffee and gin for 40 years. But when he called me to come over to see him when he was in the hospital on his way out, man, he had emphysema, hepatitis C, cirrhosis of the liver, and five malignant tumors. Please, man! I've been around this all my life. So it's hard for somebody to pull the wool over my eyes. But when somebody's hell-bent on it, you can't stop 'em.

Q: But it must've been so disturbing to see Michael's face turn into what it turned into.
A: It's ridiculous, man! Chemical peels and all of it. And I don't understand it. But he obviously didn't want to be black.

Q: Is that what it was?
A: Well, what do you think? You see his kids?

Q: Did you ever discuss it? Did you ever ask, "Michael, don't you want to be a black man?"
A: No, no, no, please. That's not the way you do it.

Q: But he was beautiful before?
A: Man, he was the most gorgeous guy.

Q: But he seemed to have some deep-seated issue with how he looked?
A: Well, that comes about a certain way. I'm not sure how it happens. I'm just a musician and a record producer. I'm not a psychiatrist. I don't understand all that stuff. We all got problems. But there's a great book out called Too Soon Old, Too Late Smart. Did you see that? That book says the statute of limitations has expired on all childhood traumas. Get your stuff together and get on with your life, man. Stop whinin' about what's wrong, because everybody's had a rough time, in one way or another.

Ernie Hudson - Ghostbuster

Historians are known to spend entire careers arguing over conflicting versions of history. However, sometimes these arguments are ended simply with the presentation of evidence that one sides opinion is beyond reproach. Today I present to you evidence that it was Ernie Hudson who played the character Winston Zeddemore that was the coolest Ghostbuster and not Bill Murray who played Peter Venkman.

When someone ask you if your a God? You say Yes! - Winston Zeddemore

Indeed Winston, Indeed.

KFC Teams Up With Music Icons MC Lyte and David Banner in Search of the Next Hot 'Hitmaker'

Popular KFC Hitmaker Song Contest Returns to Recognize Everyday Pride in Community

LOUISVILLE, Ky., June 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Legendary lyricist MC Lyte and chart topper David Banner will add sizzle to KFC's search for the next hot musician in this year's "Hitmaker" song contest, now in its third year. All aspiring musicians are invited to submit their hottest beats to win national exposure and great prizes as part of KFC's Pride 360 program. The grand prize winner will receive a "Hitmaker" recording studio and a chance to be one of 12 artists featured on the Pride 360 CD.

Last year's contest drew 300 percent more entries than it did in the first year. This year, to demonstrate its commitment to uncovering the freshest musical talent and spice things up a bit, KFC enlisted Lyte and Banner. The two artists will help contestants and winners raise their game, said Jermaine Higgins, KFC's manager of multicultural marketing.

"MC Lyte and David Banner are two of the most respected artists in urban music, and they also stand out for their commitment to the community," Higgins said. "I'm very happy that they've added their muscle to KFC's search for up-and-coming music stars."

Musicians' songs will be heard on the Hitmaker Web site, www.KFChitmaker.com, and they will be available for download as mobile phone ring tones. KFC will donate all profits from ringtone downloads to the 'Heal the Hood Foundation', a national non-profit organization founded by Banner to support the victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

"One thing I love to do is help young musicians find their way to shine in the music business," said Banner. "That's why I'm proud to be a part of the KFC 'Hitmaker' contest."

Judged by fellow "Hitmakers and Chart Toppers"

Now through July 31, musicians coast-to-coast can enter an original song about having pride in their community. The winning songs, judged by Lyte and Banner, must express the signature themes of KFC's Pride 360 initiatives as expressed in the Pride 360 key words Individual, Family, Community and Heritage. Artists can upload their audio submissions (and artist/musician photos) at www.KFChitmaker.com or mail them by July 31 to: KFC at 1900 Colonel Sanders Lane, Louisville, KY, 40213, Attn: KFC Hitmaker. All visitors to KFC.com can vote for their favorite versions of the Pride 360 songs from August 4-18.

"There are so many talented individuals out there, and this is a great way to find them," said philanthropist and Grammy nominee MC Lyte. "I look forward to showcasing artists who can use their skill on the microphone to talk about things that are really important--family and community."

The grand prize winner and the other winners will be selected on August 31. For more information and official rules, please visit http://www.kfchitmaker.com/content/view/2/3/.

Link Be warned it has adware

Anyhow I just get an ironic kick out of the way the fast food continues to try to win the urban market by using rappers. A few decades ago Rap wasn't even given respect by the grammys and rappers boycotted the grammys as a sign of unity in their rebellion to power. Now unhealthy food companies pay rappers to lead their fans to their next heart attack. So which is worse being ignored by Marketers and Ad agencies or having companies doing everything possible to win your demographic over when all they do is sell greasy foods and other Unhealthy things?

Interstella 5555 - Daft Punk

I am probably a few years late when it comes to saying this. This thing is amazing! Maybe I am a late adopter or maybe I didn't understand the point of the music. Yet, when I watched this movie I understood the hype that Daft Punk gets.

As a film Interstella is arguably just as good as a film made by Hayao Miyazaki. However the music from the Daft Punk album "Discovery" adds something to the mix that makes this film almost perfect.

The Most Interesting Man In The World

I like it. I takes the concept of the Chuck Norris Joke* and adds some international flavor. A mix of Castro and James Bond, these commercials make me wish they did webisodes based on the character.

* Chuck Norris doesn't do Push Ups. He pushes the earth down.

7 Things about me

First let me say that I have tried to make this a blog about my interest and not about myself because I like my privacy and I consider myself kind of boring. However I am always willing to take on a challenge as long as it doesn't involve me spending my money on something. Also this chain letter will die with me since well I don't really know anyone who I could possibly convince to do this.

1) I played as a football offensive right tackle in High School and still have the build for it. Because of this to this day I am often mistaken for the bouncer when I go out to clubs or Bars.

2) I am currently an Assistant Media Planner with dreams of being a strategic account planner or owning my own agency.

3) I Still read comic Books and watch cartoons regularly. My favorite comicbooks right now are B.P.R.D. and Justice League (look them up). My Favorite Cartoons are The Venture Brothers and Cowboy Bebop (look them up too).

4) I occasionaly Moonlight as a promoter for some clubs around NYC.

5) I am half Panamanian and Half African American.

6) I am a shy extrovert (I know thats a oxymoron but its true). If i don't know you well I am as quiet as a mouse. If I know you then I am the life of the party everytime we meet.

7) I consume tons of media constantly.....Book,movies,music,advertisement. On top of that I am eccletic in my taste so I often feel like I am two different people..... Du bois would call that double consciousness. I call that being me. A perfect example of this is my separate obsessions with Hip Hop and Jazz. Chess and Weight Lifting. Football and Anime. Or to paraphrase De La Soul "Fuck being hard /Risk is Complicated"

So there I did it but it was not easy. Shout out to Shaun of Prostituted Thoughts.

Dentyne Ice - 3 Minute Or Less

Interesting reverse psychology technique used on this site. Think about how many people are going to go to this site because they want to see what happens when your three minutes are up. Things like this should be used on Magazine sites. 5 minutes of all access then none for a few hours. The annoyance alone will make some people buy membership.
