Skillz the rapper is pretty well known for writing songs the review and critque an entire years worth of events. This year though it seem's he added a dedication to a show that will be sorely missed. So for the few people who never saw the show check the clip out above and gain enough knowledge to fake your way through any discussion of The Wire.

Once again it helps to have worked at a digital agency to see the inherent humor of this. Anyhow the solution they need is to build a campaign that lets the fictional noodlehead twitter. Thats the blog of 2009!

Of course that would be ironic considering the issue's the television series had with twitter earlier this year.

Magazine Ads of the Future

Here is a video of an German Ad that when placed in front of your webcam creates a 3d image you can then see in front of your computer from germany. All you need is a copy of the ad, a webcam, and a web browser.

Burger King Cologne

Last Weekend Burger King Released a new body spray called flame . My first reaction is that this thing is a PR stunt but if its real I will be very surprised. The Website is actually really good marketing using a combination of music and traditionally romantic imagery ....

Except for the picture's of the King using his own "product" seductively.

The cost is 4 dollars and while I doubt its as good as other colognes such as Issey Miyake or Gucci II (my current personal favorites) this thing might sell more units based on traffic to generated by shoppers at burger king alone.

Charles Hamilton - Brooklyn Girls

This Kid Charles Hamilton is quickly becoming my favorite new rapper this year. He reminds me of Devin the Dude but with a quicker flow. On top of that this whole video is shot around my old stomping grounds of downtown Brooklyn. My only complaint is that this video isn't fair to all the beautiful women from the other four bouroughs, and the surrounding tri-state area. But then again there is always the remix to fix that.

Great AD just Great! I saw this in a waiting room and it made everyone in the room react bysmiling and laughing. A few people in the room even said how much they loved this ad.

New DS Commercial - Created A monster

Thought I would post this since its using a rap song from one of the new rappers on the block Named B.O.B. He just signed a licensing deal with Nintendo who then promptly used his song "Created a Monster".

This TV ad, created by Mother, to be used by British government-funded agency Frank as an anti-drug public service announcement is interesting to say the least. I don't think this would work in America simply because well its a dead dog talking about Cocaine.

Appaently this is an old Ad but I swear i just saw it today (or maybe today was just the first time I ever paid attention). Either way it doesn't work because the ending is not so much a surprise as its just well dirty. Also while American Apparel has been gaining market shares with its use of psuedo porn billboard ads. You may have noticed American Apparel instead made Ads like the one below.

Saw this on Brand New . It only works as comedy if you work for a digital agency. I would argue against going digital for this campaign though. I would use a combination of coupon placement in the supermarket & Experential Marketing to sell the soup.....

However that is my opinion and this video was made as a satire so nevermind.....

Simpsons Mock Apple

This is all Microsoft needed to do in the first place. Call apple out on its BS "we're too cool" commercials and explain to the consumer that they make computers in order to make money just like us.

Instead Microsoft wanted to battle Apple in the pop culture realm and came off looking weird and out of touch. Now that America is in a recession this would be the perfect time to emphasize that Microsoft makes decent computers for a lot less money than the cheapest Apple computer.
